Success Story 3.23.08

Tara saying goodbye to her last foster pup.

It was a dark and frigid night. On February 3, 2008 our night time dispatcher was here working when all of the sudden she heard puppies crying and yelping. Not knowing where it was coming from but knew that all of our animal inside the shelter were fast asleep, the dispatcher started to look. Finally she looked outside the front door and found 8 little freezing 2-3 week old Labrador mixed puppies just sitting in a box. NO food, NO shelter, and NO mother!

She hurried up and got them into the warm shelter. They were so cold and hungry. The dispatcher got some warm formula together, fed them, cleaned them up, and they fell fast asleep. All eight of them survived the night!

The next day two employees divided the 8 pups up and took them home into foster care! After weeks and weeks of hard work and lots of love, the puppies came back to the shelter on March 20, 2008 and all of them were adopted by the end of the day on March 21, 2008
